EXCLUSIVE: Sasheer Zamata Talks ‘Agatha All Along’ [Video]

Following the immense popularity of Marvel’s WandaVision in 2021, villain Agatha Harkness returned in Sept. — this time, starring in her own Disney+ limited series.

Kathryn Hahn reprises her role as Agatha in Agatha All Along, which picks up right where WandaVision left off. The witch is tasked with reclaiming her magical powers after a teen (Joe Locke) breaks her from a spell. To do so, the two must travel down the Witches’ Road, which will reward them after they’ve completed a set of trials.

While much of the “Wandavison” crew returned for the new series, Agatha All Along features a new cast of characters, primarily in the coven Agatha forms to face Witches’ Road alongside her. Actress Sasheer Zamata plays Jennifer Kale, a potions expert in Agatha’s coven. The character first appeared in the Marvel Adventure into Fear comics, but Zamata’s portrayal of her is Jennifer Kale’s live-action debut.

In an exclusive interview with The Knockturnal, Zamata spoke about the excitement of being a part of the legendary Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as the process of debuting Jennifer Kale in Agatha All Along.

“I was a fan of the MCU for years and have always wanted to be in the universe in some way,” Zamata said. “To be able to enter the MCU on a show like this about witches and women and sisterhood is really a dream.”

Agatha All Along is streaming exclusively on Disney+, with new releases on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST until its season finale on Oct. 30.
