The stars of NBCUniversal’s television networks shined bright for a one-of-a-kind red carpet experience at Radio City Music Hall.
We had the honor of speaking with Don Francisco on the red carpet.
Congratulations on working for decades and retiring.
Well I never retired. I never said goodbye, I said “‘til always.” And here I’m back because I’m so attached to the media and it’s a vocational job and I feel so close to the audience that I needed to do something that’s why I’m going to start with a talk show and besides that, the developing of new talent. And I think we’re going to have a lot of work to do until the end of the year and we have to prove ourselves also how successful we’re going to be at Telemundo because Telemundo is the most successful network today that is growing and growing and growing and we like to grow with them.
Can you tell us about the talk show?
It’s a talk show – the name is Don Francisco Te Invita, that means, “Don Franscico Invites You.” It’s a show that we have different interviews, different types of people, performers, some politics, writers, and we make a mixture between that. We have some small games with them. We’re trying to make it entertaining. It has to be entertaining.
And are there any new shows or films you’re watching?
I watch everything that I can watch. I just worked on 33, about the Chilean miners. I worked on that movie as an actor. The same what I did in real life—I was involved with that.
