Tyler Perry’s comedy-drama “Sistas” is currently airing its second season on BET.
Falling fully back into the swing of season one’s relationship woes, career stress, and sisterhood, season 2 welcomes back all the show’s key players, including businessman Gary Marshall Borders, played by Chido Nwokocha. In an interview with The Knockturnal, Nwokocha described that filming the show is often akin to the fast-paced precision of theater, and this was only heightened as they filmed season 2 in a pandemic.
“We were testing, I felt like I was getting nose swabbed every other day it became so routine. But it was definitely a challenge, but the protocols and the safety measures that they put in place just made everything run as smoothly as it possibly could during that time.”
“It was definitely challenging, but I gotta say it was a lot of fun just to be around everyone. The cast is very close, it’s another season getting to know everyone else and the crew so we made it work. Watching the product that’s on TV right now, it’s being received well and people are enjoying it, so it just lets us know that we’re on the right track.”
