got milk’s new campaign features Kai Lightner climbing a massive wall on top of a skyscraper.

For as long as Kai Lightner can remember he’s been climbing. At age 6, he first started rock climbing at his local climbing gym. Fifteen years later, Kai has his sights set on competing in the Olympics. Climbers everywhere are excited that the Olympics recently added sport climbing to their lineup. With lifelong discipline and dedication to this sport, Kai is training to compete in the 2024 Olympics and many more championships.

Recently Kai teamed up with Academy Award-winning director Jimmy Chin, as they created a short film for got milk. Their film The Wall features Kai climbing an extremely high wall on a skyscraper. Kai recently told The Knockturnal, “Jimmy Chin is someone who works in my industry a lot, we have a lot of mutual friends. Being able to meet him for the first time and being able to work with him on this project was so cool.”

Lightner is also extremely passionate about creating inclusion and opportunities for other climbers. He started a foundation called Climbing for Change. Their mission is “Connecting underserved communities with individuals and organizations that seek to increase minority participation in rock climbing and the outdoor adventure industry. From athletes to industry leaders or filmmakers, we aim to make our industry a more inclusive environment.” His foundation is helping minorities to have opportunities to excel in the sport. Kai Lightner is passionate about continuing to inspire others as he strives for greatness.
