WESTSIDEJHITT drops new single “B.H.N.”
Palm beach’s own WESTSIDEJHITT recently dropped new single B.H.N. with 10k Projects. This up-and-coming, 19-year-old artist has already gone viral off singles like, “Martin & Gina” which has grossed over 3 million streams on SoundCloud. Today Jhitt joins us to discuss his new single as well as upcoming music. Jhitt’s been making music for the past 2-3 years and has already landed a coveted spot on the 10k roster. With no intention of slowing down Jhitt’s got an EP and mixtape on the way, slated to drop in the next two months.
The Knockturnal: How does it feel to be signed?
WESTSIDEJHITT: It feel like a dream for real.
The Knockturnal: How did the deal happen?
WESTSIDEJHITT: I can’t even tell you for real, it just happened. They hit me up through email. I didn’t think it was real at first.
The Knockturnal: What’s your favorite part about being signed?
WESTSIDEJHITT: I get the chance to let more hip people hear my music.
The Knockturnal: What was your childhood like? Did you have any musical influences at home?
WESTSIDEJHITT: I have a cousin who does Haitian rap/creole rap. H was the first one to put me in the booth when I was 14.
The Knockturnal: When did you start taking music seriously?
WESTSIDEJHITT: When I got to high school, my shit was buzzing, my views and likes went up, that’s when. I really started taking it serious. I was 16.
The Knockturnal: 3 biggest highlights of your career so far?
WESTSIDEJHITT: Flying out to LA, getting signed, and elevating.
The Knockturnal: Can you talk about your latest single B.H.N.?
WESTSIDEJHITT: it just speaks about my life, When. I want to vent I just start writing it down and put it in my music.
The Knockturnal: Do you have a project on the way?
WESTSIDEJHITT: Yeah my birthday is Christmas Eve so you can expect an EP with 4 tracks and then in January I’m gonna drop a tape. It’s supposed to be called How Jhit stole Christmas.
The Knockturnal: In your opinion who’s next up?
WESTSIDEJHITT: Lil Rico, Front Street Kev, Young Park, it’s a lot of talent in Palm Beach.
