Exclusive: Lars Klevberg, Aubrey Plaza, Brian Tyree Henry & More Talk ‘Child’s Play’ at LA Premiere [Video]

The movie that once terrorized basically every kid in America is back. If you’ve seen the originals as an adult you probably found it creepy but if you were a kid like me who saw it when he was way too young you were probably scarred for life. Just kidding! Kinda..sorta.

Chucky, the doll who promised to be your “friend till the end,” is modernized from the late 80’s classic. In the original, the doll was possessed by a demented serial killer giving the actual toy a soul. The new Chucky is basically an artificial intelligence robot that taps into this generation of Siris and Alexas. A lot has changed in the three decades since the first Child’s Play which is no surprise as to why director Lars Klevberg wanted to switch things up for this reboot.

We still have the iconic characters Andy (Gabriel Bateman) and his single mom Karen who is played by Aubrey Plaza from Parks and Recreation. Brian Tyree Henry also stars in the film playing Detective Mike Norris. Not to mention Star Wars legend Mark Hamill does the voice of Chucky and everyone seems to be living for it.

Whether you’re familiar with the films or not, getting scared is always a good time and what can be more horrifying than a crazed doll out to get you.

Child’s Play hits theaters today, but you can check out our interviews with the cast here!
