Exclusive: Josh Gad and Cast Talk New Apple TV+ Show ‘Central Park’ [Video]

“Strangest press junket I’ve ever done. #CentralPark from home in quarantine where I am the cameraman, lighting tech, and sound engineer. I love this show so much I would frankly do ten more jobs to make this happen. Get ready. May 29th on @AppleTV” Josh Gad is glad to be introducing us to Central Park!

Nothing quite like a living room press junket to get things rolling for Apple TV+’s Central Park! We coined it The Knockturnal slumber party… “not a lot of sleeping…” (to quote Kathryn Hahn) but plenty of digital partying with Josh Gad, Loren Bouchard, Tituss Burgess, Leslie Odom Jr., and Kathryn Hahn!

Central Park is a brand new animated series set inside one of New York’s most iconic and special destinations. Each episode includes 4 original songs sung by the A-List cast that you can even stream on iTunes.

The show focuses on The Tillermans, Owen (Leslie Odom Jr.) is Central Park’s short shorts-wearing manager, Paige (Kathryn Hahn) is his hard-hitting journalist wife, Molly (Kristen Bell) is their superhero loving cartoonist daughter, and Cole (Tituss Burgess) is their sensitive, shower-avoiding, son. The quirky but incredibly necessary narrator, Birdie, is voiced by Josh Gad… also the show’s creator!

The Tillermans are trying to save the park from sassy hotel heiress Bitsy Brandenham (Stanley Tucci) and her conniving assistant Helen (Daveed Diggs).

Watch the above video where Gad describes pitching Central Park to Bouchard. And Leslie Odom Jr. describes his slumber party shopping list… bourbon and WHAT?

Season one of Central Park premieres globally on Friday, May 29, exclusively on Apple TV+.
