Jennifer Love Hewitt is the ultimate triple threat—actress, singer, and certified heart-stealer.
Bursting onto the scene in the ’90s with Party of Five, she quickly cemented her place in pop culture with her girl-next-door charm, effortless charisma, and scream queen cred in I Know What You Did Last Summer. From teen rom-coms (Can’t Hardly Wait, anyone?) to supernatural drama (Ghost Whisperer), she’s done it all—while keeping fans enchanted with her signature warmth and down-to-earth vibe.
When she’s not lighting up the screen (or belting out a sultry ballad—yes, she’s a pop star too!), Hewitt keeps busy being a devoted mom, social media sweetheart, and an all-around ray of sunshine. Whether she’s solving mysteries or making us swoon, one thing’s for sure—Jennifer Love Hewitt will always have a special place in our ’90s-loving hearts.
Need some fresh ideas for Valentine’s Day this year? Whether you’re spending it with a special someone, enjoying time with friends, or embracing self-love, Jennifer Love Hewitt has teamed up with Ferrero Rocher to share her favorite traditions and ways to celebrate. And don’t worry—we’ve got all the heart-shaped details just for you!
The Knockturnal: What are some creative ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day as a family?
JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT: We love a family dinner with heart shaped pizzas and balloons. And then ending off the night with sweet treats.
The Knockturnal: How can couples personalize their Valentine’s Day celebration to reflect their unique relationship?
JLH:That’s a good question! My go-to is always to incorporate personalization, so you can do that through homemade art, handmade gifts, and DIY cards, anything to make it special and unique.
The Knockturnal: What are some budget-friendly yet meaningful ways to make the day special?
JLH: This is my favorite one that’s super cost effective – take a mason jar and write reasons why you love someone on little strips of paper and then add them all into the jar, decorate the jar and tie with ribbon and you have the best gift!
The Knockturnal: How can singles or friends celebrate Valentine’s Day in a fun and fulfilling way? GALENTINES!
JLH: Here’s a perfect idea for Galentine’s that’s fun and also super creative. I’d take your favorite candy, mine is Ferrero Rocher chocolates, you can find them at your local grocery store. I’d put them into clear ornaments and then have everyone draw on the ornaments with markers or paint with Valentine’s Day colors and designs. You can hang them to dry and then use them to decorate your kitchen or living room. I’d also set out wine and appetizers of course to make it a classic and fun Galentine’s Day party
The Knockturnal: Do you have any tips for planning a surprise experience rather than giving a physical gift?
JLH: Experiences can be so much better than physical gifts – we’re all about finding that quality time these days. Surprises don’t have to be extravagant, keep it simple. Fill a room with balloons, make popcorn, add Ferrero Rocher chocolates and watch a romcom – that’s all you need to get in the Valentine’s Day spirit.
The Knockturnal: What are some romantic at-home date ideas for couples who prefer to stay in?
JLH: This is a good one – what comes to my mind is just making the night about just you two. Order or make a heart shaped pizza together, drink some great wine and dance around the kitchen.
The Knockturnal: How can busy professionals make time for a memorable Valentine’s Day without a lot of planning?
JLH: It really is hard to make the time with everyone’s busy schedules, I’d say schedule a “love meeting.” Bring food and wine in a can and interview them for the position of your life partner. It’s kind of sexy and fun and super easy to pull off.
The Knockturnal: What are some ways to incorporate self-care and mindfulness into Valentine’s Day celebrations?
JLH: Self-love and mindfully is SO important! I would do a Valentine’s spa in your house. You can give each other massages, run warm baths, light candles and just relax together.
The Knockturnal: Do you have any unique traditions that could inspire a fresh take on the holiday?
JLH: I love making new memorable traditions, let’s see. Maybe making a love basket filled with their favorite things for 14 days? It’s kind of like a love advent calendar but it can be personalized and filled with goodies.
The Knockturnal: How can couples keep the romance alive beyond just Valentine’s Day?
JLH: We like to hug everyday no matter what. I know it sounds like a given but with kids and busy schedules, it’s not always as easy as it seems. So, make 365-day commitment that no matter what you have a long hug twice a day. No words. Just deep breaths and love.
Thank you so much, Jennifer! The reigning Queen of ’90s nostalgia & timeless charm!
