The Knockturnal sat down with Jared Harris and David S. Goyer to discuss the new Epic Sci-Fi Series, ‘Foundation.’
The series is based on Isaac Asimov’s Foundation, an emotional epic tale spanning over the course of 1,000 years detailing the fall of the Galactic Empire, and the players that had a hand in preventing its demise.
Jared Harris plays Hari Seldon, a psychohistorian faced with the burden of deciding whether or not to release the newfound information of the inevitable fall of the empire. Using his past sci-fi roles experience, he was able to play Seldon with great ease, offering an above par performance.
Creator and Showrunner, David S. Goyer, has been very familiar with Asimov and his works from a young age by reading them as a teenager. Now, he’s finally decided it was time to bring the book series to television.
There’s a lot to unpack in the show, mostly it’s striking cinematography as well as it’s intense dialogue. But what was definitely the most impressive was the use of CGI, in addition to how crisp it looks.
The show’s writing and plot is definitely entertaining to say the least, keeping you drawn in until the finale. After watching the first season, you’ll definitely be wanting all 80 hours they hope to release.
‘Foundation’ will be available on Apple TV+ Friday September 24.
