Netflix’s all-new series “Country Comfort” is everything that we need right now, combining themes of family, love, and acceptance set to a totally original musical soundtrack. Starring Katharine McPhee, the series is sure to resonate right in the hearts of viewers worldwide.
The show focuses around country singer Bailey (played by McPhee) as she faces a bit of a struggle within her career, and finds herself taking a different road as she takes a nanny job to a family with five children who have lost their mother, and in turn reintroduces music into their lives. Starring in the series as Brody, the second oldest son of Eddie Cibrian’s character, Jamie puts on a miraculous performance as he brings out his own heart and musical theater background.
Growing up, Jamie struggled with being one of the only boys in his Ballet classes, and he talks about how he wants young boys everywhere to know that their passions are important and that pushing through is endlessly worth it. He’s able to relate to Brody and his character through his own background in music, coming from a previous career on stage, this is Jamie’s on-screen debut, and it still carried ties into the theater using both the musical element and the fact that it was filmed in front of a live studio audience. We sat down with Jamie to talk all about the series and his experience filming, check it out above.
