Exclusive: Cast Talks HBO’s ‘The Plot Against America’ at NY Premiere [Video]

HBO’s ‘The Plot Against America’ is a riveting new six-part miniseries to add to your watch list.

Based on the novel by Philip Roth, the show focuses on an alternate American history through the perspective of a working-class Jewish family in New Jersey. With the fear of a new xenophobic leader taking over the nation, the story highlights the political rise of Charles Lindbergh turning America toward fascism.

Winona Ryder, who plays Evelyn Finkel in the series, says HBO’s The Plot Against America deeply portrays the fear of anti-Semitism and highlights a few ‘crazy’ events that are happening in modern-day society.

The powerful cast includes Zoe Kazan, Morgan Spector, Winona Ryder, Anthony Boyle, Azhy Robertson, Caleb Malis, and John Turturro.  The Plot Against America was created by David Simon and Ed Burns; executive produced by Simon, Burns, Nina K. Noble, Megan Ellison, Sue Naegle, Susan Goldberg, Joe Roth, and Jeff Kirschenbaum, and co-executive produced by Philip Roth and Dennis Stratton.

The red carpet was rolled out at the New York premiere for the incredible director, producers and cast at Florence Gould Hall. After, guests quickly filled up seats in the theatre to view HBO’s The Plot Against America’s screening. The special event ended with an elegant party at The Metropolitan Club to top off the evening.

The six-part limited series debuts Monday, March 16 at 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.
