Don’t freak out, but your new favorite song was just released. On second thought, start freaking out! Singer-songwriter Brynn Elliot released her new single, Tell Me I’m Pretty on January 21, and spoiler alert, it’s amazing.
Brynn Elliot is known for other hit songs such as Might Not Like Me and Time of Our Lives featured on her EP, Time of Our Lives, and has toured with artists such as Tyler Ward, Grace Potter, and Why Don’t We.
Her new single, Tell Me I’m Pretty, was inspired by a scandal that occurred at her college. “I was watching this scandal play out with the men’s soccer team at my school, where they were discovered to have this group chat that rated women on the women’s soccer team on their physical hotness,” says Elliot. “The line in the song, ‘maybe I’m worth more than some numbers or a score,’ really comes from that moment.”
