Aziza Scott stars as Mackenzie “Trip” Johnson III in Apple TV+’s hit show ‘Home Before Dark.’
At the start of the second season Trip gets promoted to Sheriff, and as the series progresses, she must prove herself in her new position and deal with the disdain from her white male subordinates. Additionally, Trip must navigate her ever-shifting relationship with Brooklynn Prince’s character Hilde Lisko.
“She is so sweet, she is so talented,” Scott said of Prince. “I love to see her work because Brooklynn leans heavily into her imagination. It is so beautiful because she believes everything that she says, which makes my job easy, because if she believes, then I believe.”
Scott talks about what fans can expect in season two of Home Before Dark, what she hopes audiences get out of watching this season, her favorite part of portraying Trip, and more.
