Disney Channel’s new movie “Spin” staring Avantika releases this Friday!
Avantika leads an amazing cast is the new Disney channel movie Spin. She plays Rhea a Indian American teenager who is passionate about her heritage, family and music. This movie follows Rhea’s journey into the world of music mixing and creating DJ mixes. She learns to care for her friends, work at her father’s restaurant and follow her passion in creating music.
Spin is the first Disney Channel movie with a lead Indian American character. The movie presents the culture, food and spirit of India. The Knockturnal recently interviewed Avantika about this film and her role. Avantika shared her excitement and journey of working with Disney on this film. She is a multitalented singer, dancer, actress and model and has won some incredible dance competitions in India. Avantika has already starred in some amazing films and commercials in Indian Cinema.
This film also presents a fun cast including Abhay Deol, Meera Syal, Aryan Simhadri, Michael Bishop, Anna Cathcart, Jahbril Cook and Kerri Medders.
