Last week we sat down with the cast and creator of Raised by Wolves, HBO Max’s sci-fi series to discuss Season 2, releasing Feb 3 only on HBO Max.
From Executive Producer Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner) comes a new sci-fi epic that takes the liberty of going deeper than your average “Laser-Beam Space Western.” Raised by Wolves takes place on an alien planet as two androids, Mother and Father, (played by Amanda Collin and Abubakar Salim, respectively), desperately try to raise human children, and ultimately protect them from the impending threats around them.
Some new additions to the cast include Kim Engelbrecht and Selina Jones, both of whom we had the pleasure of sitting down with to what it was like to join a show in the middle of its running.
“It was really lovely to be part of an already established family; they welcomed us with open arms. ” explained Selina Jones, who plays Grandmother. Quite fitting for a show that revolves so heavily around the theme of family. She then continued to describe her excitement upon the first time walking on set as “mind-blowing — the design of it, the creation, the costumes. Everything is so well thought out.”
