On Sunday April 10, Everyday People, “The Most Diverse Party in the World,” returned to Los Angeles for a celebration of diversity, self-expression, culture and purpose in partnership with Diageo.
The sold-out event brought more than 1,500 people and some of the city’s most diverse and influential tastemakers to The Beehive in South Central to gather and spread joy in honor of Diversity Month.
Everyday People co-founders Saada Ahmed, DJ Moma & Chef Roble established the live music event experience and cultural platform in 2013. Labeled by Vice as “The World’s Coolest Day Party” EP has grown from an intimate gathering on NYC’s Lower East Side and evolved into a leader in the live music & cultural event space with multiple monthly residencies in NYC and LA.
Los Angeles DJs, DJ Suga Shay and DJ Tiger brought the vibes and had everyone dancing to curated afrobeats, hip hop and R&B before Everyday People’s DJ Moma took over the stage to close out the night, and had celebs like Janelle Monáe, Sean “Diddy” Combs and Bas “Swag Surfin” on stage. Guests sipped on complimentary cocktails by CÎROC Vodka Spritz, Crown Royal and DeLeón Tequila while raising a glass to intersectionality, freedom of expression and community.
Notable tastemakers in music, fashion and media popped in to celebrate throughout the day like business mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, musicians Janelle Monáe and Saweetie, actors Keke Palmer Keith Powers and Sarunas Jackson, rapper Bas, models Slick Woods and Jordun Love, comedian Rickey Thompson, and more.
