This year will mark the 15th year since the first ever Dirtybird BBQ took place in San Franisco’s Golden Gate park. What was once a bunch of unz unz unz enthusiasts coming together to lay down their latest tracks with the accompaniment of a juicy burger is now one of the most anticipated annual tours in the world of techno. DIRTYBIRD founder, world-renowned producer, and head chef Claude Vonstroke created an institution with the advent of DB. Not only has he never ceased to disappoint with continual spectacular releases on his label, but he has fostered a concrete community for people who are truly passionate about the techno scene (and have an affinity for wearing only black).
DB will be firing up the grill in 5 lucky cities: San Fransisco, Seattle, Detroit, NYC, and (later this year) Miami. What better way to spend a Sunday than by movin’ and groovin’ to some sweet familiar DIRTYBIRD tunes while Chris Wilson, AKA Grillson, preps you a plate of delicious BBQ? The NYC BBQ is happening this Sunday, September 11th, at Governors Club on Governor’s Island. It will run from 3pm until midnight and will be hosted by the OG bird himelf, Von Stroke, alongside Justin Martin, Shiba San, J. Phlip, Christian Martin, Walker and Royce, + more!
