In addition to the Cortina specials, La Pizza & La Pasta excels with their everyday menu that boasts the use of fresh ingredients all from Italy. The Knockturnal made a visit recently to La Pizza & La Pasta at Eataly Las Vegas, located inside the vibrant Park MGM, for a tasting and enjoyed every morsel of their ample dishes. The homemade Lasagne Emiliane with pork and beef ragu was a real standout. The balanced ratio of sauce and meat to cheese that was meticulously assembled in distinct multiple layers of pasta was incredible and a must-order. Another dish we highly recommend is the Salumiere pizza that had spicy salami, Ferrarini prosciutto and sweet Italian sausage. The savory meats were thinly sliced and the smokey note of the crust was flawlessly cooked—not too crispy or chewy.
We also loved the tagliatelle alla Bolognese. The housemade pasta was long and the ribbon-like structure perfectly held the Bolognese sauce. The noodle also had a fresh egg-based texture. As for the combination of pork and beef in the sauce, it developed a rich, hearty, and thick sauce—ultimately making it a very satisfying meal.
As for dessert, the house made panna cotta with almond streusel, candied apples, cinnamon and powdered sugar was to die for. This was hands down one of the best tasting desserts. It wasn’t overly sweet and we can’t wait to eat this again.
La Pizza & La Pasta has everything you’d want due to their amazing menu being expansive. And with the new Cortina d’Ampezzo dishes, La Pizza & La Pasta at Eataly Las Vegas is the best destination for a hearty Italian meal. Open daily from 11am to 11pm, they are also a great no-fuss lunch spot on the Strip—a rarity that you have to take advantage of. And when you’re done eating, make sure to browse Eataly Las Vegas’s airy 40,000-square-foot Italian culinary marketplace that features other exciting restaurants, cafes, and specialized counters.
