Last Thursday, the Ainslie in Soho transformed into a hub of elegance and excitement, thanks to Drita D’Avanzo, the iconic star of VH1’s Mob Wives.
Hosting a Mob Wives-inspired dinner that perfectly captured the essence of the show, Drita turned the dinner event into a grand celebration of style and taste with a dash of her charismatic presence.
As the evening commenced at 6:30 pm, a parade of fans, numbering 161 in total, made their grand entrance. Adorned in lavish furs and dark sunglasses, each guest fully embraced the Mob Wives aesthetic, bringing the theme to life with their spectacular ensembles.The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as Drita, the gracious host, made her way around the Ainslie, greeting fans at every table. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the impromptu runway show, judged by none other than Drita herself, with the assistance of her daughters Aleeya and Gizelle. The winners of this spirited competition walked away with an array of prizes, ranging from KISS lashes and nail products, gorgeous RPZL headbands, a gift certificate to the Mia Wagner Salon, and a gift certificate to Ainslie. Even former Miss Universe R’Bonney Gabriel was in attendance and she strutted her mob-inspired fit to the sounds of DJ MFusco.
The Ainslie outdid itself with a menu that was both a tribute to Italian cuisine and a testament to culinary excellence. The feast kicked off with Meatball Pomodoro, a classic dish that set the stage for what was to come. The savory chicken with broccoli rabe and olive oil mashed potatoes that followed was a symphony of flavors, perfectly complemented by the sweet white wine. The dessert, featuring banana bread pudding bites and chocolate cheesecake bites, was a match made in heaven and deliciously wrapped up the meal.
