Last night, Del Maguey hosted an intimate evening to celebrate the holiday season and the recent launch of their latest expression, Del Maguey VIDA Puebla.Β
The event was hosted at the iconic RezdΓ΄ra, most known for being one of the best Italian restaurants in the world and having received its One Michelin Star status in 2021, 2022, and 2023. To bridge the two cultures together, Del Maguey used this classic Mexican spirit and infused it with the essence of Italy, creating a delicious craft of negroni cocktail using the new VIDA Puebla expression. The substitution of mezcal as the base spirit of classic cocktails has been one of the biggest trends of late. And the addition of VIDA Puebla mezcal memorializes why this substitution works well. The flavors of this drink were both herbal and somewhat bitter from the vermouth and Campari, but had a beautiful arrangement of beautiful floral notes and juicy fruit from the VIDA Puebla base that ended up complimenting each other perfectly.
At this event, guests of Del Maguey could try out the new VIDA Puebla expression and try out some signature RezdΓ΄ra bites, which include a selection of canapes, a pasta station, and mini desserts from the RezdΓ΄ra menu. To add more flair to it, the head chef of RezdΓ΄ra, Chef Stefano Secchi, taught guests how to craft his delicate tortellini pasta in an intimate guided session. To round the festivities out, the Del Maguey team gave a special toast where they shared their passion for honoring the traditional mezcal distilling ways that were taught to them by indigenous families in Mexico and thanked all the guests for attending. The toast was made with a tasting cup of VIDA Puebla in hand.
