French Cognac brand Courvoisier has relentlessly executed efforts of excellence through their age-old traditions of creating cognac dating back to the early eighteen hundreds and shows no signs of stopping now.
On Wednesday – Nov 11 Actress Rosario Dawson, OITNB’s Dascha Polanco, Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Melissa Gorga, and more joined liquor & lifestyle brand Courvoisier in celebration of their Exceptional Journey campaign at the Industria Superstudio in New York City’s West Village. The brand is committed bridging the gap between Art + Fashion. Courvoisier helped to unveil two new artistic installation collaborations by a group of artists and designers, while everyone while everyone enjoyed the musical spins of DJ Brendan Fallis. Courvoisier specialty cocktails served at the event included The Exceptional Taste and the Spice Station. It was certainly an inspirational night of music, art, and fashion.
The event space was properly laid out with both masterpieces opposite the room. New York based fashion label EN NOIR and Bonsoir Paris unveiled their contemporary, fashion-meets-art installation – a photographic sculpture mixing image and design. On the other end of the room, American cubist painter Jack Laroux and iconic French outerwear brand K-Way teamed up to create a lightweight packable rain jacket, print inspired by Laroux’s “Poseidon” painting that all guests had the opportunity of taking home.
After going full steam ahead with mass production just for the purposes of the event, K-Way brand manager Matt Feigin explained to The Knockturnal that retail giant SAKS is now interested in putting those jackets in stores, “in the end, just think, a collaboration put together to help Courvoisier led to the fact that people want to now do business with us.” Not bad at all.
