The women in the crowd screamed for Trey Songz. The whole entire time.

This past Friday, Trey Songz headlined at the PlayStation Theatre in New York City. The R&B singer wowed the crowd with an ensemble of songs from all of his projects. He teamed up with Mike Angel and Justine Darcenne to deliver a performance that the crowd wouldn’t forget.

Mike Angel kicked off the show by expressing his gratitude to be on the stage in New York City. The Virginia native told the crowd about how he was discovered by Songz, and how with persistence he was able to stand on the stage at that very moment. He performed some songs including “Anxious” and “One Time” and promoted the release of his upcoming project. His engagement with the crowd left everyone content, some people even sang along with him during his moments of call and response.

After a short break between the sets, Songz eventually came onto the stage and all of the women screamed at the top of their lungs. The singer was decked out in a super sparkly jacket that reflected in the spotlight. The singer started off the night by welcoming the crowd and thanking them for coming to see him on the New York stop of the Tremaine Tour. He started off his set shouting our fans who have been by his side since day one and started performing. He kicked off the show with a medley of some of the hits from the very beginning of his career, including “Can’t Help But Wait,” “Can’t Be Friends,” “Last Time,” “Neighbors Know My Name” and much more. One fan even threw a pair of underwear at the singer.

About halfway through, he brought Mike Angel back out onto the stage and told the crowd how proud he was of his work and complimented his talent. The duo then began to perform some songs together off of Songz’s Anticipation III. Songz then introduced Darcenne onto the stage, telling fans that he found the videos that she shared with her singing on Instagram and fell in love with her voice. Darcenne and Songz told the crowd about the first time they met, in a studio session to write and record a new song for Songz’s mixtape. Darcenne is a New York native and expressed to the crowd her gratitude for being able to stand on a stage in the city where she was raised. The 23-year-old songstress then went on to perform the song she wrote with Songz, “Find My Love.”

Everyone then left the stage for a short intermission. Trey came back onto the stage with a fresh sparkly jacket (this time in black), and of course, the women in the crowd went wild. He then went on to thank all of his fans for sticking around with him after all these years and continuing to be fans. Songz proceeded to perform songs off his latest project Tremaine. Even though the project is still fairly new, the crowd sang along all of the words. He performed “#1Fan,” “Nobody Else But You” and more.
