On Monday, December 31st,  fans gathered at the Brooklyn Yard House for the NYE David Guetta show.

The venue is located in a huge warehouse environment perfect for partygoers. Despite it being a cold, rainy night in New York City, attendees were excited for the show. As you are walking toward the Brooklyn Yard House, you can hear the music in a distance and once you walk in, you can see the amazing lighting and strobes coming from above. It created an awesome vibe, while also ringing in the new year with David Guetta.

David is an award-winning artist. He is an icon in the electronic dance music genre and is known as the grandfather of EDM. The night started with DJ Weiss who is a producer/DJ from the UK. He was named the Best Newcomer DJ back in 2016. His set began at 10 P.M. He had a unique sound to his music. Weiss kept the crowded engaged and excited for what was to come.

As it got closer to midnight, the crowd began chanting “David, David, David,” wanting him to come out on stage. The clock struck midnight and attendees began to celebrate. Some were spotted hugging each other, while others kept on dancing. A few moments after the New Year began, David Guetta finally came out and the crowd went crazy for Guetta. He stated that he had such a good time last year, that he had to come back to ring in the New Year in Brooklyn. He played familiar hits such as “Like I do,” “When Love Takes Over” and “One More Time” just to name a few. There is something about electronic dance music/techno genre that is unique. It just makes every inch of your body get up and move.

The set design for the show was incredible to say the least. It is something I always look out for when attending a show. It had different graphics and a strobe of lights that were intriguing to watch and throughout David Guetta’s set confetti strings were being thrown to the crowd as well.

The night ended with DJ Tom Starr. It didn’t matter how late it was, partygoers kept on going and enjoying the show. It was great way to spend the 1st day of a New Year.
