Coldplay announced their new album A Head Full of Dreams will be released on December 4.
The seventh album of the bands was recorded in Malibu and London with producing duo Stargate, as well as longtime collaborator of the band’s Rik Simpson. More featuring artists are present on this album than any of the previous ones. Guests include Beyoncé, Noel Gallagher, Tove Lo and Merry Clayton.
The band has also released their first single off the album “Adventure of A Lifetime” today as well. Fans can purchase the album on iTunes, or pre-order A Head Full of Dreams on their website and receive the track automatically.
High energy is the base of A Head Full of Dreams, practically the opposite of their previous album Ghosts Stories which had more of a fragile, desperate tone. Without touring their previous album the band dived in to making the new record, focuses on more elated events in life. With each song it seems Coldplay is looking to make the world a little happier.
