Featuring three incredible industry veterans who helped pave the way for women in the spirits industry

In celebration of Women’s Month this March, The Saloon at Clover Club honored leading women in the beverage industry by hosting an exclusive pop-up bar event. Behind the bar were industry powerhouses: Julie Reiner (founder of Clover Club and Milady’s), Jillian Vose (Brand Ambassador for Badger Bevs), and Candice Coy (Brand Ambassador for Le Moné). These accomplished women have been instrumental in shaping the modern cocktail scene, contributing to the success of iconic bars like Dead Rabbit, Clover Club, and Employees Only Miami, paving the way for future generations of women in spirits.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed delectable light bites while Reiner, Vose, and Coy crafted exquisite cocktails showcasing partner brands Le Moné, Badger Bevs mixers, and Copali Rum. Standout creations included the Velvet Resistance, a sophisticated blend of Copali white rum, Le Moné, and black tea, finished with Angostura and orange bitters. Evocative of a classic Old Fashioned, the rum’s smooth sweetness was lifted by the bright Le Moné, while the black tea provided a compelling depth, making it a clear crowd-pleaser. Equally popular was the Rhinestone Cowgirl, a vibrant mix of Copalli white rum, Le Moné, chamomile, raspberry, and Badger tonic. This cocktail delighted with its fruity sweetness balanced by herbal notes from the chamomile, all harmonizing beautifully with the Meyer lemon profile of Le Moné and the subtle vanilla undertones of the Copalli rum.

The event culminated with heartfelt remarks from Reiner, Vose, and Coy. They thanked attendees for supporting women in the spirits industry and shared candid reflections on their journeys—the “blood, sweat, and tears” required to build successful careers in a historically male-dominated field. They expressed immense pride in the growing presence and influence of women within this line of work.
