Chef Sean Launches Legal Pothead Clothing Brand with Lit and Lavish DTLA Function

Chef Sean, Flexing on 4.20

Truism of Life: When one of LA’s most up-and-coming rappers invites you to a 420 function, you go. That’s just how it is. And thank God I did, because Chef Sean really knows how to throw a party.

Now technically this was a taping for his hit IGTV series, Ask a Rap Dude, but the atmosphere was crackin throughout. Didn’t hurt that he was also launching Legal Pothead, a t-shirt, hoodie, and mask company. You know weed-themed things bring out the best people. That’s just science.

I grabbed a Hennessy from the open bar and settled in for the taping, which was equal parts funny and laid back. He did a couple of interviews, asked questions to the audience, blazed, and generally seemed to be having a good-ass time. At one point someone asked if he’d rather be in NSYNC or Backstreet Boys, which was the kind of left-field question you’d expect from this very-high crowd. Loved it.

Bob Dylan’s grandson, Pablo Dylan, was in attendance, which I did not expect! He seemed chill. There was also free El Pollo loco, which is in fact my favorite non-fried chicken.

Be sure to check out Legal Pothead merch, it’s dank!

Later that night, celebrities came out to the red carpet to Support Pop Artist Simon Lunches Private Listening Party at SIR Studios in Los Angeles, CA.  Notables on the carpet included George Daniels, Native Wayne, and Bravolebrity Ali Levine.
