Festival season in the desert is never complete without Neon Carnival. This year the milestone event brought a night filled with electric performances, high energy, and its usual carnival flair.
The invite-only desert after hours keeps being a must-stop for festival attendees even after fifteen years. From the brains of Brent Bolthouse and producer Jeffrey Best of Best Events the festivities were once again held at the Desert International Horse Park on Saturday evening. Over a decade ago this was the desert’s best kept secret after party. Past attendees include Leonardo DiCaprio, Taylor Swift and Rihanna. To this day it has grown into one of the most talked about nights every festival season.
Chris Brown attends Neon Carnival
The night kicked off with a set from DJ Mary Mac followed by an incredible set by Channel Tres. He really threw down on the 1’s & 2’s blending house and hip hop keeping all of us attendees dancing non stop. The LED screens behind him featured fun graphics and pink lighting illuminating the crowd below. As the night progressed Ty Dolla $ign took the stage with surprise performances by YG and Tyga.

It really was a whole vibe especially for west-coasters and Bay Area music fans. Spotted in the VIP areas enjoying the party was Chris Brown, Ryan Garcia, and Mario who gave an impromptu accapella performance to “Let me Love You.”
This year’s festivities were presented by Rivian and LaCroix Sparkling Water. There was a big Maruchan ferris wheel and food truck for guests to enjoy (I sure did). Sally Hansen and e.l.f. Cosmetics offered gifts at their activation zones and Tito’s Handmade Vodka kept the spirits and vibes high throughout the night. Carnival games offered guests great prizes and many walked away with huge stuffed animal bears.
Whether you are wanting to enjoy some carnival rides or continue dancing the night away into the early hours of the morning Neon remains the after-party to be at in the desert. Other notables in attendance were Rachel Zoe, Cheryl Burke, and Love Island castmates Justine Ndiba and Coco Watson.
