The first day of spring is just days away! Now is the perfect time to engage in spring cleaning. In partnership with Command Brand, Ayesha Curry knows a thing or two about refreshing and decluttering living spaces. The celebrity chef, businesswoman, and mother of four shared some innovative tips and solutions to embrace the seasonal shift with Command Brand’s products.
“For me, one of the biggest ways to stay organized is by keeping things off the floor,” Ayesha said. “So blankets, towels, hoodies, my kids’ sports equipment… anywhere I can stick a hook, I do and I love that I don’t have to worry about the aftermath of the hook if I choose to relocate something.”
Command Brand features adhesive, easy peel-off products without requiring tools. This makes it simple to remove hooks and other organizational products without damaging walls and surfaces. Ayesha said the most notable place for Command’s products is in her bathroom.
“I have several hooks up. I have some for towels, some for robes,” Ayesha said. She emphasized on the clear mini hooks and how they go a long way.
“They make mini hooks which are great because you can do things like hang up your jewelry. Sometimes when I’m washing my face, I forget to take off my jewelry. Having a hook right there is great because it gets it off the counter and up where I can see it.”
Ayesha encourages everyone to practice her three favorite spring cleaning hacks this year, starting with bed making.
“Getting into the habit of making your bed just starts your day on the right trajectory,” Ayesha said. “You’ve already won one thing for the day so it’s all up from there.”
Ayesha recommends increasing your water intake and using Command Brand products to simplify your life in a damage-free way.
“You can play around with the hooks and see what sticks. If you don’t like it, you can always move it. The last thing I would say is making sure your water intake is good. Drinking water and nourishing our bodies with fruits and vegetables is a form of spring cleaning as well.”
On the topic of home making, Ayesha talked about how she and her husband work to maintain a warm environment inside their home.
“We try to keep the energy light at home. We leave work in the garage. When we park the car and when the work day is done, we kind of leave it where it is. A big thing for us is getting around the dinner table and making sure we’re sitting and enjoying a meal with our kids. We check in with them and just see how they’re feeling, giving them the space to talk about anything they want to talk about and make them feel comfortable with telling us anything. So that’s the theme we try to set in our home and I think they feel the love that way.”

“For me, it came from a place of being mindful that what you put in your body, you can also put on your body. My family is from Jamaica and there were all these beautiful ingredients that are indigenous to Jamaica that have been passed down from generation to generation that people typically eat. It was a no-brainer to kind of fuse those two worlds and show people that you could have effective skin care with these beautiful tropical Jamaican superfoods.”
Ayesha’s lifestyle brand, Sweet July, expanded its culinary venture in late 2024. Sweet July cafe not only provides a cozy place to grab coffee and tea, it intertwines Ayesha’s Jamaican roots with some of her core values: community, empowerment, and sustainability. The coffee served at Sweet July is from women-owned cooperatives across the globe, and she’s ensuring that mission is brewed into every sip.
“With the café and the coffee specifically, it was really important for us to ethically source,” Ayesha said. “We wanted to make sure that we were pouring into everything we’re founded on which is female empowerment, food, faith, and family.”
From pastries and bread puddings to sandwiches and ice cream sundaes, the menu is curated for just about everyone to enjoy. The cafe is located at Regent Santa Monica Beach.
