With dozens of parties held during Super Bowl weekend, how does one quite stand out? Well, how about taking over an entire hotel because why not right? That’s what Budweiser did Saturday night as they transformed the entire Nautilus by Arlo South Beach Hotel into the exclusive BUDX Hotel.

For those who aren’t woke, BUDX is a global program that spotlights outstanding creative minds in music, fashion, and lifestyle from around the world. The hotel hosted over dozens of “Kings of Culture ” aka influencers from over 20 different countries for a variety of events and pop up activities. Some of those included the ONE37pm x Dwyane Wade’s Masters of the Mic Karaoke and the Gillette Barbershop pop-up with celebrity barbers.

We got an exclusive tour of the pop-up Barbershop Gillette put together inside the BUDX Hotel lobby. The shop had celebrity barbers Mark Marrero, Rich Mendoza and Vince Garcia who helped some of the NFL stars Deshaun Watson, Mark Ingram, Devante Adams, and others get game-day ready for the Super Bowl with haircuts and hot towel shaves. Some of Gillette’s latest innovations include the Gillette SkinGuard and the Heated Razor by GilletteLabs. I got to go home with a sick golden razer but honestly really wish I had snagged one of the heated ones too.

After checking out all the dope shenanigans in the BUDX lobby it was time to head out to the pool area for the concert where Halsey, Diplo, and The Black Eyed Peas all took the stage. The part that really took me out though was seeing JLO and Shakira impersonators walking around the hotel with no security. I literally had to double-take to make sure my eyes were really seeing correctly.

Given that I wasn’t going to the actual game, I had hoped to somehow get to see them throughout the weekend. Part of me thought it was weird for them to be spotted the night before their big performance especially with no security, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Later on I come to find out that they were impersonators all along. Undoubtedly too good to be true, but I do have to give kudos to the look-alikes for their uncanny resemblance to the actual stars.
