The award-winning, star-studded film will be available in stores starting October 10.
From Academy Award-winning writer and director Sofia Coppola, The Beguiled stars Golden Globe-winner Colin Farrell, Academy Award-winner Nicole Kidman, Golden Globe-nominee Kirsten Dunst, and upcoming actress Elle Fanning in an atmospheric thriller like no other. The film premiered at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, where Coppola was awarded Best Director (becoming only the second female to do so).
The period film was based upon the 1966 novel A Painted Devil by Thomas P. Cullinan. Set during the Civil War, an injured enemy soldier is taken in by a Southern girls’ boarding school. As the girls nurse him back to health and provide him with shelter, the house is overtaken by sexual tension and alarming rivalries as taboos are explored in an unexpected turn of events.
Thanks to Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, movie buffs can take home The Beguiled on DVD and Blu-Ray on October 10. It will also be available OnDemand that day as well. However, true fans can see the film in Digital starting September 26. Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital each come with never-before-seen content and exclusive featurettes that take viewers behind-the-scenes and explore Coppola’s vision for the alluring and dramatic film.
