Focusing on the themes of luxury and power, Tadashi Shoji’s Fall RTW 2018 collection was paired with makeup that was able to capture just that.

The beautiful fashion featured by Shoji is paired with a makeup look that is able to capture just what the line was aiming for. Working with MAC Cosmetics, the looks feature vivid deep colors that are presented in a simple and easy way that exude luxury and power.

Makeup artist Pep Gay chose to focus on the color gold, believing that the color transmits those feelings of luxury and power. His goal was to create bold makeup looks by using minimalistic tactics to emphasize the look and was able to do so by presenting the bold makeup choices in a simple and easy way.

For the eyes, Gay created his look by the layering of bold gold eyeshadow. Focusing solely on the color gold, the artist layered the eyelids with the color from the root of the lashes to the eyebrows, careful to blend in the eyeshadow. A slight highlight was also placed into the corner of the eyelids. Finally, Gay topped off the look with mascara to complete the eyes.

As for the rest of the face, the makeup artist wanted to keep the look simple so only featured blush and red lipstick. The blush used was Flirting with Danger by Mac and was used sparingly to add a little definition and color to the cheeks. Finally, the look was finished off with red lipstick. The makeup look created by Pep Gay truly enhanced Tadashi Shoji’s RTW Fall 2018 Collection and created stunning runway looks!
