AlunaGeorge and ZHU teamed up for their newest track, “My Blood.”
The English electronic duo has already teamed up with ZHU in the past with “Automatic” from ZHU’s latest EP, and has quickly come back with another collab. Aluna Francis, the vocal and songwriting half of AlunaGeorge, shared their latest collab, “My Blood,” in an interview on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 on Wednesday.
“My Blood” is a hybrid of hip-hop and futuristic pop with a deep, sensual sound unique to ZHU’s musicality and style. Aluna Francis’ emotional, soulful voice comes together with this beat to create a sad melody telling the story of a lover who left her.
On Zane Lowe’s Beats 1, Francis explained her desire to find and collaborate with ZHU after listening to his Grammy-nominated track, “Faded.” She said, “I went on the Internet when I heard ‘Faded,’ and I was like, ‘I don’t care if we don’t know who he is. I’m going to find him.’ I was such a geek.”
ZHU is currently on his Neon City concert tour and will conclude on May 21st in Miami. There is no official release date for AlunaGeorge’s album as of yet, but it is expected to launch later this year.

AlunaGeorge kicked off their I’m In Control Tour last weekend with their mega performance at Coachella and two headlining sold-out shows in Los Angeles. The tour resumes on May 20th in Atlanta.
