HBO Max releases the all-new, six-part series Chillin Island.
HBO’s new show Chillin Island takes viewers on a journey into the unknown with New York City rap personalities Alec “Despot” Reinstein, Ashok “Dap” Kondabolu, and Aleksey “Lakutis” Weintraub. The all-new, six-episode unscripted series follows the New Yorkers as they travel into the desert and swamps, sharing existential conversations about their shared human existence while fishing or holding exotic animals. Alec, Lex, and Dap are joined by music industry icons Young Thug, Lil Yachty, Rosalía, Gunna, Killer Mike, Ski Mask the Slump God, Lil Tecca, Coi Leray, and Ezra Koening. Chillin Island allows viewers to take a journey into the unexpected and watch celebrity guests in an environment never seen before.
“We learned a lot about each of the guests,” Alec Reinstein said when reflecting on the deep and important conversations shared between the hosts of the show and the guests. “The goal of the show is to have some insight into the personality of these famous people.”
