Rap game’s fashion icon and the Irish designer just unveiled an apparel collaboration.
Since he first appeared in the mainstream of rap culture, A$AP Rocky has made for himself a name of a fashion icon. His daring and unusual paring of styles as well as clear inspiration with the fashion of 1990s have gained the attention of the masses.
The rapper himself, when asked about his inspiration often say: “I’m just jiggy like that…”
After the success of his collaboration with American brand Guess, Flacko reaches across the Atlantic and collaborates with young fashion designer from Ireland. J.W. Anderson. Anderson is known for his innovative approach to what defines masculinity and femininity as well as creating thought-provoking silhouettes through mixing menswear and womenswear elements.
The JWA x A$AP Rocky and AWGE collection features beanies, fur jackets, track pants, cardigans and jumpers. All of those made from high quality materials including merino wool – which is reflected in the pricing of the collection.
Anderson gave Rocky full creative control which resulted in unique custom graphic added on several pieces. The rapper first teased the collection on his Instagram account late afternoon on Thursday.
