Vogue and Max presented the “And Just Like That…It’s Been 25 Years, A Sex and the City Experience.” The event celebrated twenty-five years of Sex and the City. It honored the Season Two premiere of the spin-off show And Just Like That. The festivities occurred from June 8th to June 11th. The romantic comedy Sex and the City entertained many fans.

Darren Star created the series, which premiered on June 6, 1998. The light-hearted sitcom revolved around sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw and her three friends- Charlotte, Miranda, and Samantha. They frequented Manhattan’s dating scene and met many single New York bachelors. Unsurprisingly, the girls had many short-term boyfriends. Its spin-off And Just Like That has a unique storyline.

Starr created this new series as well. It premiered on December 9, 2021. The Sex and the City friends transitioned from their friendships in their thirties. The new comedy-drama depicted their lives while in their fifties. The women’s relationships became more complicated. Season Two of And Just Like That will premiere on June 22. Stars from both series attended the luxurious event.

In the show’s apartment, Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie) posed with her character’s laptop. Kristin Davis (Charlotte) smiled on the brownstone’s steps. Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) enjoyed the event as well. Celebrity guests enjoyed the event as well.

Nicole Ari Parker, Katya Tolstova, Harrison Ball, and Victoria Brito made appearances. Candice Bushnell, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis,  and Zac Posen posed near a decorative brick wall. Sarita Choudhury, Bridget Everett, Julie Halston, and Karen Pittman gathered for a glamorous group photo, while Serena Kerrigan posed with a cocktail. The event featured an impressive DJ.

Mazurbate spun lively tracks behind a vibrant floral display. With drinks in their hands, Danny Santiago and Karen Pittman danced to the music. Boris Kodjoe and Michael Patrick King attended the event as well. The exhibitions paid tribute to Sex and the City’s four female protagonists.

Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago designed the show’s Costume, Shoe, and Accessory Display. It displayed iconic looks from both shows. Hypnotic floral designs guided guests through Carrie’s finest clothes. Event partner Framestore installed disguise’s software, which powered the impressive exhibition. It spanned eight ten-foot LED screens and mirrors separated each screen. This was made possible with artificial intelligence.

The creative team presented show footage in impressive 4K resolution. They displayed slow-motion videos at 24 pixels per second as well. With the technology, they could slow videos to 30% of the original. Such edits enhanced viewing experiences. The event featured reconstructions of the Sex and The City’s set.

Visitors took pictures at Carrie’s classic brownstone and elegant apartment interior. Rooms included Carrie’s bedroom and living room. The event displayed a restoration of the newsstand. The elaborate cart displayed real magazines with the actresses as cover stories.  Similarly, the exhibition showed the character’s high-end posters.

Their names were written in pink script, illuminated with LED lights. It showed past and present pictures of the characters on moving screens. It listed the character’s classic quotes. “I like my money right where I can see it…hanging in my closet,” read Carrie’s display. “Sexy is the thing I try to get them to see me as after I win them over with my personality,” read Miranda’s. Attendees enjoyed other displays as well.

Guests had fun with Carrie’s Closet Experience and Interactive Post-it® Wall. They drank cocktails from Cosmo Bar and ate treats from co-sponsor Magnolia Bakery. Other sponsors included Ketel One Vodka, Garde Robe by UOVO, LG, and Dearest Rachel.
