Queens rapper Rome Streetz recently dropped the first visual for his mixtape.
If dropping an 11-track mixtape weren’t impressive enough, Rome took it to the next level by simultaneously dropping the music video for “I Been Thru Mad Sh*t -Pt 1.” The visual nicely fills in the blanks left by the track and weaves a beautiful story of two overlapping lives and the individuals involved.
The “I Been Thru Mad Shit – PT 1” follows the stories of Rome and Nailah ‘Blue’ Berkley. First we see Rome go through the motions from selling drugs to fighting with his girl to smoking up with Blue and everything seems to go smooth until there’s a knock at the door. Things take a turn for the worst, but before the scene ends we rewind to get more of Blue’s backstory. Her introduction begins with “bad b*tch, but everybody got they own definition” as she’s getting ready for the evening. We see her lifestyle of partying, drugs and loneliness which leads to the video’s imminent sad ending. Check out the video below:
