The brand is currently seeking to excite and continue engaging its younger audience through its recent expansion into occasion wear. Princess Polly—which was named one of the top 3 online fashion retailers for Gen Z women in 2022 (Piper Sandler report)—is now offering party wear that adheres to its customers evolving needs.
And it’s been a plan that’s been under wraps for a while. Earlier this month, it launched its new Homecoming Collection, in an effort to satisfy their young shopping demographic’s desire to find outfits to wear during their school and other formal events. According to the brand, it is dresses, specifically, that have been one of the top-searched categories amongst the brand’s Gen Z consumers, so extending the range to formal wear felt like the natural next step for the brand.
“Our Gen Z audience wants the latest trends, but they’re also more conscious than ever about where they spend their hard-earned money, so it was important for us to provide our customers with the perfect look for homecoming, while also keeping in mind that the styles should be timeless enough for customers to wear long after homecoming is over,” shared Princess Polly’s Trend Director, Leigh Chesterman in an emailed press release.

The collection has been thoughtfully curated to be inclusive of elements the brands shoppers are increasingly gravitating towards. It boasts a slew of celebrity-inspired silhouettes, size-inclusive designs (ranging from sizes 0 – 20), and most importantly, sustainably-made pieces, in materials such as recycled satin and mesh, which now make up over 20% of the products on-site.
