Comedy Central’s new late-night show, “Lights Out with David Spade” has just been announced!
Comedy Central announced David Spadeβs new late-night series, βLights Out with David Spadeβ, premiering Monday, July 29th at 11:30 pm ET/PT.Β Following βThe Daily Show with Trevor Noahβ Monday through Thursday each week, the series, hosted by Spade, will feature his signature take on pop culture news of the day.Β Each night, Spade will be joined by comedian and celebrity friends as they make fun of the absurdity of Hollywood while also incorporating sketches and field segments.
βThe show will be straight up comedy, old school.Β I think the biggest things people will tune in for is my sense of humor and no politics,β said Spade in our interview with him, βThis is just straight up making fun of Hollywood and all of the idiots there, including myself.Β So Iβll just make fun of that, have a couple of comedians from the comedy store, the best comics in the country, have them come in on chime in on gender reveals or whateverβs funny and what we think is worth lambasting.β
The show is executive produced by Spade, Alex Murray, and Marc Gurvits.Β Brad Wollack and Tom Brunelle of Free 90 Media are also executive producers as well as showrunners and Liz Plonka will director the show.
