Cocktails and a series of masterclasses were the perfect celebration for the 111SKIN Launch in Bergdorf Goodman. 111SKIN owner Eva Alexandridis joined with make-up artists and models on the beauty level of the luxury department store to demonstrate how to achieve and maintain good skin and natural makeup as a means to confidence and self love.
Skin care isn’t only necessary, it’s also trendy. Millennials and 20somethings have proven themselves to be pros at raising awareness in style and have done so especially when discussing skin care. Having clear, glowy skin has become more desirable especially amongst women who crave a natural beauty just as stunning as a fully beat face that has been slayed to the Gods. As a result, the skin care industry has been booming. Even Kylie Jenner is getting a piece of the action through her skin care line, Kylie Skin, which launched this year in May.
However, 111SKIN made its mark with their Rose Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Mask in November 2017. The mask is infused with Rosa Damascus and 24 karat gold that aims to reduce hyperpigmentation, brighten skin tones and more. Like many, celebrity makeup artist Carolina Gonzalez saw the mask circulating on Instagram and decided to give it a try. Now, she uses 111SKIN products on all of her clients.
Believing in “prevention- not intervention,” Mrs. Alexandrides, responsible for creating the company’s masks, and her husband, cosmetics surgeon Dr. Yannis Alexandrides; create all their products to target and heal problem areas. These products are thought up in Dr. Alexandrides’ London clinic and without market research. “Everything we develop is based on specific needs for his patients,” Eva said.
As for 111SKIN’s future, Eva shares, “We’re developing boosters, something we’ve been focusing on to give people the opportunity to mix and match, and add into existing creams.” With these new developments, customers will be able to create their own prescriptions for their skin type.
