NuFace X Bandier Pop-up Spa

NuFace is taking over the beauty bar at Bandier’s newest location in NYC.

Recently I had been invited to try a Microcurrent facial lift with NuFace. I had never heard of a Microcurrent facial nor did I feel I needed a lift but was excited to try something new in the world of skincare.

NuFace has teamed up with Bandier, an athletic store, at their newest location in NOHO. Walking into the Bandier store alone was an exciting experience leaving me wanting to shop for the latest athletic wear. The NuFace pop-up spa located further into Bandier was set-up like a miniature spa. I was greeted by one of their licensed aestheticians, who went over my skin care concerns before we began. I admit I was still nervous about going into the service as I haven’t dabbled any “lifting” procedures or processes before. My aesthetician started explaining to me what a microcurrent was which not only calmed my nerves but piqued my interest.

A microcurrent is a low-level current used to tone and firm aging skin by mimicking the body’s natural current for instant lifting and anti-aging results. Originally used as a muscle stimulator for medical patients with nerve-paralysis and even sagging facial muscles caused by Bell’s Palsy. Microcurrent therapy treatment is FDA approved, safe, and has found to be effective. While microcurrent treatments have been used since the 1980s, NuFace launched in 2005. Carol Cole and her daughters, Tara Peterson and Kim Morales, created NuFace to be an at-home beauty device.

For someone like me, who may not be in need in an immediate lift, the NuFace can serve as a preventative measure and a little face contouring. My aesthetician applied their ‘Hydrating Leave-On Gel Primer’ before using the ‘NuFace Trinity.’ The 15-minute lift did make a noticeable difference.

The overall service was luxurious. My aesthetician shared that for those using the device at home, only five minutes a day for 60 days is all that’s needed to see drastic results. The NuFace Trinity retails for USD 325. For anyone who feels that they may be in need of a lift, I recommend booking an appointment to see how it works for you. While the NuFace products are something I would consider luxury items, they are a worthy investment for those looking to bring their skincare routine to new heights.

NuFace x Bandier Pop-up will be open at 670 Broadway, New York, NY 10012 until April 30th; appointments can be made on mynuface.com.
