OJ Williams
Founder/Editor-In-Chief
A New York native, OJ began his career as an intern at the legendary hip-hop bible, The Source Magazine. In 2013, he was a founding member of Steve Stoute’s the STASHED, where he spearheaded their film and lifestyle sections. Later he later took on task of managing editor for Ebony Magazine ushering a new era of the for historic title. In May 2015, he decided to start his own editorial platform and The Knockturnal was born.
Elizabeth Taylor

ElizaBeth Taylor is known to many in the media world with featured work in Variety, E! News, Dan’s Papers, and several international publications. The Sensible Socialite began her career as a travel reporter exploring Europe, Russia, South America, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. Greatly influenced by her time on the road, she developed a heightened awareness for the way humans connect. Her skills have led to current work as both a journalist and entertainment producer. With over 50 shows under her belt, Taylor has worked behind the scenes with major networks and studios. Taylor’s calendar year is always full, and she joyfully rings in the next chapter every December with her notable contributions to the most recognized show on the planet – The Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball Drop.
Emma Salehi

Emma Salehi is a passionate writer inspired by the unique narratives of individuals. As a 2026 graduate, she currently contributes to The Knockturnal as a writer, editor, and reporter. With a keen focus on the Asian Diaspora and the Drag Race community, Emma delivers insightful perspectives to a diverse audience.
Jon Tolliver
Music Editor
Tolliver is a Chicago-born funk singer, journalist and DJ drawn to the humor in every story, the dance floor and the best BBQ spot in every city. He’s written for Reuters, produced video for LA Times, TOMS shoes and OutTV, interviewed some of the biggest celebrities of our time, and is the musical director and DJ on NPR’s ‘The Middle’. Musically, he’s appeared on the Late Late Show, gave a TED Talk and performance at the 2023 conference, has toured all over the US and Europe and is in constant rotation on KCRW. He’s also the founder and executive producer of Exotic Fruits Fest, an annual music and film event that benefits local non-profits.
Vinesh Vora

Vinesh is a native New Yorker born and raised in queens. Since joining The Knockturnal in 2015, vinesh has covered the entertainment world from top to bottom. Having covered events in movies, tv, fashion, and interviewed a multitude of celebrities, he now focuses on being The Knockturnal’s lifestyle editor. He specializes in the food, wine, spirits, and travel sector and also covers LGBTQ centered events as well.
Parris Rose

Parris Rose is a TV host, entertainment reporter, social editor and actor who is unapologetically authentic, bold, full of charisma and a jack of all trades. She embraces her dualities; smart & silly, opinionated but empathetic, hardworking badass yet takes time to travel, explore and focus on wellness. You may have caught her as the host on Hollywire, updating you on the latest happenings in Hollywood or on American Beauty Star as she recapped the latest celebrity beauty trends or possibly you happened to catch her on Snapchat’s show Brother where she dished on dating and offered relationship tips. She has even shared her magnetic energy as the host of AEW on TNT’s 3-Count. Her Jamaican heritage has always given her an edge and she attributes much of who she is to her West Indian roots.
