Warm Up Your Winter with QC New York’s Luxury Escape

A five minute ferry ride from Manhattan gets you away from the hustle and bustle of NYC and into an enchanting, fully immersive spa experience.

A Winter Escape Awaits

QC NY Spa of Wonders makes for the ultimate getaway…without getting too far away. Right across the East River, the Italian spa sits on Governor’s Island. The spa provides a range of experiences from steam rooms and saunas to heated outdoor pools with views of Manhattan’s finest skylines. The 90,000-square-foot oasis offers over 30 wellness experiences for guests to enjoy as they escape the cold temperatures and retreat.

QC Outdoor Pools

It would make sense if the outdoor heated pools were off limits this time of year, but QC thought of a way to preserve this experience even in the off season. The spa features heated tunnels leading to the pools, warming racks to keep robes warm, and the pools are kept at a toasty 98 degrees to ensure a cozy winter wonderland experience.

What Else to Expect

The spa has a variety of saunas, ranging in temperature, architecture and theme on their Acqua Level. My personal favorite was the One Thousand and One Nights Steam Bath. The Foot Baths and Vichy Showers are a uniquely cleansing experience and are a must-try.

Now is the perfect time to attend QC and check out their new additions in Building 111. Don’t miss the Sprout Waterfall inspired by Italian Fountains and the soothing Salt Room. Before you head out, stop by the Red Light room to fully reset.

If you’re feeling hungry after all this, stop by the new Casa QC Bistro!

History, Heritage, and Aesthetic

Beyond its rejuvenating treatments, QC Spa has history. Both of the buildings that make up QC are former Army barracks that to this day maintain their historic character.

The space is thoughtfully designed making it impossible not to snap a photo or two. For the best photo ops, I recommend the Butterfly Room, the Balloon Room, and of course the stunning skyline views from the outdoor pools — bonus points if you’re there for sunset!

Five-hour day passes start at $98, and trust me, you will have no regrets about entering into the magical experience that is QC NY in the winter.
