Walmart continues to build momentum in 2023 as the co-presenting sponsor of LL Cool Jay’s Rock The Bells (RTB) festival in Queens, NY – taking place Saturday, August 5th, 2023.
To celebrate the occasion, they’re partnering with curated livestream shopping platform NTWRK to release a limited edition Walmart x Rock The Bells capsule collection featuring new-to-world designs from Brooklyn-based artist Adrian Brandon.
Rock The Bells celebrates the core elements of Hip-Hop through MCs, DJs, breakdancers, graffiti artists, and more. Adrian Brandon accentuates the roots of the culture through this partnership, designing a contextually relevant, no-misses, capsule collection. As the co-presenting sponsor of Rock the Bells, Walmart is bringing its Black & Unlimited campaign to life by celebrating the Black makers, creators, and collaborators who fuel Hip-Hop.
Black creativity has powered 50 years of hip-hop culture and continues to fuel the makers of today. During Rock the Bells, Walmart will welcome attendees to stop by their Makers Studio, where they can find inspiration and pay homage to Hip-Hop’s creative originators. Hip-Hop has helped shape American culture and communities across the U.S., paving the way for new forms of artistic expression. Adrian Brandon is an artist based in Brooklyn, NY. He works in various media, including but not limited to digital, paint, and ink. Adrian creates art that broadens the narrative of the Black experience and touches on themes of pride, peace, and protest.
The limited edition Walmart x Rock The Bells capsule includes two limited pieces: a summer-ready t-shirt and a heavy-weight hoodie for the cooler months – each product aligned with their seasonal palettes. With prices set at $40 for the t-shirt and $65 for the hoodie, these items offer fans a way to celebrate Hip-Hop with streetwear.
