‘The Night Agent’ Returns with New Characters and Action-Packed Season 2

Netflix’s critically acclaimed spy thriller returns with a new web of secrets, power struggles, and fresh faces.

This new season finds Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) fully immersed in his role as a Night Agent, navigating a new landscape filled with experimental weapons in the wrong hands, possible moles within the program, and new global threats. As seen in the trailer, his mantra is clear: trust no one.

For those new to the series, this off-the-record program operates under direct presidential oversight, tackling cases too dangerous or unconventional for the nation’s established intelligence agencies. For those who’ve been eagerly awaiting, it’s clear this time around will bring a whole new level of intensity.

Luciane Buchanan returns as Rose Larkin, the former tech CEO whose traumatic experiences in Season 1 don’t stop her from diving back into the action with Peter. Joining in on the action this season is Amanda Warren as Catherine Weaver, a veteran operative in the Night Action program tasked with training and overseeing recruits like Peter. Also adding to the intrigue is Brittany Snow as Alice, Peter’s mentor and partner in his first official Night Action assignment. Snow’s character bridges the gap between seasoned operatives and rookies like Peter, offering a steady hand in the chaos.

Arienne Mandi steps in as Noor, a low-level aide in the Iranian mission to the United Nations who becomes entangled in the central conspiracy. Noor’s emotional arc, shaped by her determination to secure a better future for her family, provides a grounded, human element amidst the series’ high-octane drama.

The show achieved immense success in 2023, becoming Netflix’s most-watched original series of the year with 812.1 million hours viewed between January and June. With its compelling narrative, strong performances, and never-ending obstacles, The Night Agent continues to deliver on its promise of being one of television’s most thrilling series.

All 10 episodes of Season 2 are now available to stream on Netflix.
