Your favorites are returning back to the 305 and they know how to make an entrance.
Love and Hip Hop Miami is returning with the same energy that fans can’t get enough of. Expect burned bridges, major tea, and plenty of headline making moments. Shay Johnson and Michael Blackson are at the center of it all. The two open up how they’ve stayed authentic, handled sharing their lives with the public, and how they would describe their on screen drama this season.
Viewers last see comedian Michael Blackson in a sticky situation of his own, balancing two babies with two mothers alongside a series of other eyebrow raising moments. While reality TV is a new lane for him, Blackson is sharing how he’s stayed authentic to himself while still controlling the narrative.
“When certain things come out and it ends up on a big platform like Worldstar Hip Hop or the Shaderoom, I just post a picture of the baby and that will shut them up”, Blackson says. “Just to change the conversation”.
Love and Hip Hop OG Shay Johnson is no stranger to the series’ drama. She continues to bring her signature resilience and boldness to every confrontation. However, with being in the public eye for so long there are a few things that she’s being intentional about holding away from the spotlight.
“Certain things I hold to myself like moments with my daughter, my mother…I let them in but not all the way in,” Johnson shares. “Certain things you can’t hide because you are a public figure and that comes along with the territory.”
With emotions running high and boundaries being tested, this cast proves that nothing stays quiet in Miami for long.
Love and Hip Miami continues Wednesdays on BET.
