On Monday, December 7th, Target hosted a private VIP screening of it’s Holiday Target Wonderland Event. Described as “part-store, part-holiday playground,” the space was incredible.
As guests entered they were instantly given lanyards with the individual bar codes and customer numbers. Led by cheery Target employees dressed in bright red jumpsuits, visitors were then led towards a large room which opened up to games and different experiences. For the experiences, Target took age old kids favorites and blew them up to life size versions. There was a large Etch-A-Sketch Photo Booth; a White Ball Pit next to a Lego Ship; and a green Christmas Tree made entirely of Hulk Hands. Parents and kids could also take selfies with the Target Mascot, The Bullseye Terrier. Alongside the fun activities, new toys were shown with bar codes. So as the kids played, parents could easily snatch up the newest toys all without standing in line. Which in itself is revolutionary. Guests included Malin Akerman, Kristen Bell, Camila Alves, Chrissy Teigen, and Neil Patrick Harris.
For anyone who wants to check out Target Wonderland, the experience will be available to the public for the next two weeks, starting today. I would strongly recommend checking it out. Target did an impeccable job at creating an amazing Wonderland that I dreamed of as a kid. While there are specific experiences that are curated specifically for kids such as the Princess Castle or the Ball Pit, adults of all ages will love joining in. The energy, the colors, and the overall feel of the shop is infectious. The Wonderland will put anyone in the Christmas mood even when the temperature feels otherwise.
