An award show that honors the most dynamic and talented DJ’s around the world, both past and present.
This year will mark the fourth annual Global Spin Awards. The Global Spin Awards is known for honoring DJs from across the globe for their contribution to the music and entertainment industries. The GSA have been classified as the Quality Standard of DJ Recognition by music industry veterans.
Lala Anthony hosted last year’s show and it was attended by some of the industry’s biggest entertainers including Sean “Diddy” Combs, Ne-Yo, and DJ Khaled. Previous winners of the 2014 Global Spin Awards include: DJ Mustard (DJ of the Year); Jermaine Dupri (Celebrity DJ of the Year); and Diplo (EDM DJ of the Year).
Swizz Beatz had a few words to say about the importance of the GSA’s:
“This award show gives talented DJs the overdue recognition they deserve. Every individual that has been nominated contributes to the culture and more importantly, the music. I am honored to serve as the host of the fourth annual award show and be a part of this universal team of phenomenal DJs.”
The official award show will be held on November 17 at the Best Buy Theatre in New York. This weekend long celebration is complete with a DJ Technology and Lifestyle Expo and Finale of the McDonald’s Flavor Battle.
