On The Scene: Suitsupply Fall 2018 Presentation At Cadillac House

In a Gatsbyesque fashion, Suitsupply debuted their Fall/Winter 2018 collection during Men’s New York Fashion Week at the Cadillac House on Monday, Feb. 5, 2018.

The European fashion house is known for their use of fine Italian fabrics and attention to fit and detail.

This collection dressed a modern-day Jay Gatsby. Jazz music filled the space as guests took rounds viewing each design. Every outfit was elegant and utilitarian. The collection presented pieces made from soft alpaca fur and moleskin, in a variety of rich colors. Each was pleasing to the eye and traditional with modern additions.

The highlights were an emerald-green velvet jacket, navy, grey, and flannel patterned suits; they made strong statements that were also complemented by their leather briefcases and travel bags. The collection featured beautiful wool, fitted turtleneck sweaters, and long overcoats in pastel colors.

The detailing on each piece is what made the collection unique. The sweaters and ties were able to be paired with any suit presented. The collection would make for an interchangeable wardrobe that has the ability to look different each day, depending on the pieces you’re pairing together.
