Still Here Debuts their Sophomore Storefront on New York’s Upper East Side

Just a block away from glittering Christmas tree-lined Park Avenue, the beloved NYC-based denim brand Still Here opened their second storefront in the Upper East Side.

On Thursday night, 905 Madison Avenue was abuzz with excited fans and friends of the brand. Tables of delicious snacks like Dolma, decadent baklava, flan with coffee liquor, and more greeted guests when they first entered the store. The festive drinks of the night were crafted with Condesa Gin of Mexico City: a Palo Santo Martini, Dirty Vodka Martini, Rumor Rose’s Rose, ETI NYC’s saffron wine, and our favorite, the Jardinero. The Jardinero featured Condesa’s prickly pear and orange blossom gin with splashes of rose, Aperol, Chartreuse, and St. Germain – the perfect refreshingly light but booze-forward sipper to nurse all evening.

For those who don’t know, Still Here was founded by two high-school sweethearts from Brooklyn with a passion for great quality denim. Their pieces, which are “inspired by the timelessness of denim and its unique ability to capture moments and tell stories” are designed in NYC and handmade in LA. This new Madison Ave storefront aims to complement their downtown location on Elizabeth street, by targeting the luxury market and offering much more than the average retail experience. The “carefully curated atmosphere” will serve as a place for customers to gather and spend time, over house-made coffee that is made sustainably with the brand’s leftover materials after their jeans are created. Still Here’s commitment to sustainability definitely shines through in their new storefront.

Their cozy storefront hosting all of this honored Japandi design, with clean, bright colors and pops of polished, light wood. It’s meant to feel like you just stepped into your cool best friend’s apartment, and invites the customer to connect with the brand on a deeper level by showcasing their values. An accordion room divider turned art piece impresses when you enter the store, each panel featuring a different pair of Still Here’s iconic dark denim. A metal wire mannequin sat atop a pair of white jeans, resembling someone sitting with folded legs. A giant New Yorker cover titled “The View of the World from 9th Avenue” hangs in the back of the store’s lounge area, with gorgeous metal piped couches and chairs for shoppers and their guests to relax on. The lounge area’s design is absolutely stunning, envisioned by the brand’s co-founder herself, Sonia Mosseri. Check out Still Here’s website or stop by their new location in person!
