Salt & Straw Brings Their Decadent Ice Cream to the Las Vegas Strip

Salt & Straw, the renowned and delicious artisan ice cream brand, made its grand debut on the Las Vegas Strip recently with the opening of not one—but two!—shops. The new ice cream parlors are located at the luxurious Paris Las Vegas and also at the electric Flamingo Las Vegas. Their arrival is a huge welcoming addition to Vegas. Finding sweet treats on the go is a big challenge on the Strip, but with Salt & Straw, visitors now have easy access to dessert, especially during the hot months.

The first new location at Paris Las Vegas is nestled in one of the legs of the iconic Eiffel Tower— outside near Arc Bar. The space is cozy with employees who are super friendly and patient. They genuinely are willing to answer any questions about their numerous ice cream flavors. They even encouraged complimentary tastings to figure out which kind you want. The second shop is at the Flamingo with much more space conveniently along Las Vegas Boulevard and adjacent to Gordon Ramsay Burger. Simply stroll in and you’ll be enjoying some ice cream in no time.

Founded originally in Portland, Oregon, by cousins Kim Malek and Tyler Malek, who is also the head ice cream maker, Salt & Straw has grown nationwide and redefined ice cream with their eclectic flavors and by focusing on local, high-quality ingredients. “Bringing Salt & Straw to the Las Vegas Strip is a dream realized,” Kim Malek, co-founder and CEO, said in a statement. “We started this company to build places where people could come together, connect and celebrate life over a scoop of unforgettable ice cream. To now open beneath the Eiffel Tower replica at Paris Las Vegas and the neon lights at Flamingo Las Vegas – it’s hard to imagine two better locations to debut on The Strip. This is where people from around the world gather for iconic, once-in-a-lifetime moments, and we’re honored to be part of that.”

From fan-favorite classics like Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons and Double Fold Vanilla to bold originals like Strawberry Honey Balsamic with Black Pepper and Arbequina Olive Oil, the delectable flavors are available at both Vegas shops. Among the other flavors include Honey Lavender, Freckled Mint Chocolate Chip, Coffee and Love Nuts, Cinnamon Snickerdoodle, Raspberry White Chocolate Cheesecake and Cake Batter Chocolate Fudge. The highlight was the Chocolate Gooey Brownie. Every bite was magnificent, rich, and heavenly. I could eat this everyday!

Salt & Straw will be scooping new flavors starting February 27 called the Cereal Series, which features Rice Krispies, Cap’n Crunch, Lucky Charms, Raisin Bran and Reese’s Puffs. The cereal-ice cream desserts will no doubt be tasty.

The waffle cones at Salt & Straw are absolutely worth getting with your ice cream. As soon as you walk into the shop, you can smell the distinctively sweet aroma. The batter is fresh-pressed, house-made, and crafted daily. The textures of the cones are crispy, thick-walled and come in classic vanilla-caramel, with seasonal variations.

With Salt & Straw’s first-ever presence on The Strip, both locals and visitors can now easily eat unique ice cream flavors. So, indulge your sweet tooth or beat the heat here because you won’t regret it!

The Paris Las Vegas shop (located at 3655 South Las Vegas Blvd.) is open daily from 11am to 11pm.

The Flamingo Las Vegas shop (located at 3555 South Las Vegas Blvd.) is open from 11 am to midnight.
